About me
I am a second-year student of Communication and Political Science/International Relations at Griffith University, focusing my studies on Strategic Communications, Australian Politics and Public Policy.
Raised in regional Victoria, I am building a career in public communications, grounded in my passion for making politics more accessible, compassionate and representative of Australia’s communities.
A natural creative, I enjoy communication in all forms, with a strong love for nonfiction writing, content creation, and visual storytelling through design and photography. I have strong aspirations to work in Australian Politics, developing policy and working to ensure equality and accessibility for all communities.
Developed through many years of experience in community service and local government, I have skills in public speaking and event coordination. I have been recognised for these skills, and for my service to my local community with various awards and acknowledgements. This includes the respected ‘Merv Keller Business Memorial Award for Service and Aptitude in the Business Field’, as well as the ‘Citizenship Award for Community Contribution’ and various academic achievement awards. I have also served as President of the Student Representative Council 2024, and member of the Senior Leadership Team.
In these roles, I acquired experience in conveying important messages and calls to action through effective communication management. This included social media content as well as written communication in emails and newsletters, which resulted in notable successes in fundraising, event planning and services provided to the local community. I am excited for any opportunity to apply my knowledge and passion to increasing access to politics across Australia, especially to small communities like my own.
Sparked by my parents’ backgrounds in conservation and passion for the outdoors, I am deeply committed to protecting communities from the threats posed by global warming and natural disasters, reflected in my photography of Australia’s landscapes.
I am based between my family in Regional Victoria, and my studies on the Gold Coast.
